Should I buy an LED product with Blinking lights?
Many products have blinking LED's. LED Technologies, LLC has found no evidence that the blinking lights causes any benefits. The primary goal of the product should be to maximize the light energy into the skin. Blinking is frequently used to cool LED's by causing them an on/off cycle that in turn controls the temperature of the LED. Excessive heat will degrade the performance of the LED as well as decreasing it's lifespan. So while it may look pretty to having the blinking lights, or cause the user to feel it is accomplishing something, in actuality it is reducing the light energy the system will provide. Is there really a difference in LED Therapy products?
Not all LED Therapy devices are created equal. Some smaller, less expensive devices use heat generators similar to a heating pad to simulate power.
